The truth about sleep, emotions, and figuring it all out
Becoming a mum for the first time is magical — but also messy, emotional, and exhausting. The first six weeks are a blur of feeding, nappies, and very little sleep. You might feel overwhelmed, and that’s completely normal.
Here’s what most people won’t tell you:
-
You might cry for no reason. Hormones are real.
-
You won’t “bounce back” overnight. Healing takes time.
-
Sleep deprivation is no joke. Nap when you can, and accept help.
Tip: Don't compare yourself to others on Instagram. Every baby — and every mum — is different. If you’re getting through the day, you’re doing amazing.
